Our vision is to have a national impact, launching thousands of unemployed South Africans into successful businesses and creating vibrant local economies in marginalized areas.

At the moment there is massive outflow of money from poor communities as residents are forced to do their shopping in malls and shopping centers outside of their community. Even when there are retail outlets in or close to townships they are not owned by the township residents and therefore there is no wealth created and retained in the community. At best there are some jobs created and residents of the community don’t have to travel too far to shop. We are changing this by equipping township residents to own and run high quality retail outlets and thereby create wealth for themselves and their communities.

Our underlying philosophy is simple: wealth will be created in communities by retaining spending in the community, and by ensuring that the owners of the businesses providing products and services are residents of the community. This will create a circulation of the rand in the community and create wealth not just jobs. This process will be further enhanced if the community is able to produce products and services which can be sold externally.
